CARD SCHEMES
New
Entrants wishing to work in the Construction Industry are
required to obtain a Red Card (trainee) that requires the
applicant to undertake sufficient training at our facility
involving classroom and practical instruction in a controlled
environment, usually four days in duration prior to undertaking
the end Practical Assessments and Technical Theory Exam, any
person wishing to undertake this recognised entry route will
need to have a current Health & Safety Card CPCS,
information on which we can provide.
Holders of the Red Card then have two years to
obtain the relevant Plant Operations NVQ 2 which will
then be changed to a Competent Persons Blue Card, holders
of lapsed Blue Cards need to have a current Health &
Safety Certificate CPCS, undertake a Technical Theory
Test and obtain a Plant Operations NVQ 2 all of which
YTS can provide.
We
can also provide support and training for those who want to
obtain the Gold Supervisory Card as well as for other
trades such as Electricians who need to be JIB Registered
and need to obtain the relevant NVQ 3.
